Tom Boyd is a London-born radio and TV host, journalist and writer. While a student he worked as a dolphin trainer and stand-up comedian. After qualifying as a lecturer in the Theory of Education he earned an NUJ card and joined start-up news station LBC in Fleet St where he became editor of the award-winning breakfast show AM.
He joined ITV to present the childrens show “Magpie” then returned to radio as a phone-in host, winning the Royal Variety Club award as National Radio Personality of the Year.
He combined young people’s TV and controversialist radio over three decades.
Boyd has penned five books, produced whale documentaries and staged the UK’s biggest ever wrestling show.
He is married with two sons and a daughter.
His greatest passions outside family, friends, media and politics are sport and wine.
