Irina Georgescu is a Romanian-born food aficionado fascinated by the flavours and textures of Romanian cuisine, and passionate about sharing its secrets with the world. She is a daring cook, food stylist and photographer, and was at the helm of an award-winning British cookery school for 5 years. Romanian born and bred, Irina has lived in the UK for the last 10 years.
Irina feels very strongly about exploring the world through food, understanding people through what they eat, and putting things in the context of history. She is passionate about cooking and sharing the traditions and wonders of Romania with the world. She believes that there is no better way to tell the tale of a nation than through its food. Her debut cookbook will be published by Quarto in 2020.
