THE MAKING OF MIA

When Jo Hill lands a job as a PA at Gloss magazine, she thinks it’s the job of her dreams. But it soon turns into a nightmare. As a mousy secretary with a penchant for giant bags of maltesers and comfy shoes, Jo doesn’t exactly fit in at the uber-chic office. Her boss humiliates her; her colleagues bitch about her; even the receptionist ignores her. At first, Jo’s not sure why – is it her hair, her figure, her clothes? Then she realises it’s pretty much all of the above and that she’ll never be like the sleek, glamorous girls flitting round the office in their Sass & Bide jeans and Gucci mules. Or will she? Jo might be overweight and overlooked, but she’s different in other ways too. She’s bright, ambitious and smart, and what’s more, she has a plan. Reduced to tears for the umpteenth time by her boss – the gorgeous but vicious magazine publisher Joshua Garnet – Jo knows it’s time for drastic action. She’s had it with magazines and knows that ‘discovering a whole new you’ takes more than a manicure and a new MAC blusher. Jo’s going to give herself the ultimate make-over and by the time she’s finished, the magazine world – and Joshua – won’t know what’s hit them. Goodbye Jo, hello Mia – magazine diva extraordinaire.

SPOTLIGHT

A fallen star. A runaway bride. They’re about to be pitted against each other by a very powerful man. Madison Miller has everything – beautiful, talented and just a little bit naive; she’s the small-town girl who swept to victory on America’s hottest talent show to become the nation’s sweetheart. She’s also head-over-heels in love with the man who’s masterminded her career – the head-spinningly powerful, lethally attractive Beau Silverman. But there’s trouble in paradise… Jess has bolted from her approaching wedding and a dead-end job in London to chase dreams of being a fashion designer in New York. But she’s finding life in the Big Apple tough, until she meets a man who makes her an offer she can’t refuse. It means a taste of a life she’s never had – glamorous parties, paparazzi, haute couture – but at what price? Sweeping from the hotspots of LA to the coolest bars of New York, SPOTLIGHT cuts a gloriously fun swathe through the world of celebrity and glamour, with a page-turning story at its heart.

ALL THAT GLITTERS

Ella Aldridge seems to have it all. Married to Danny Riding, one of the Premiership’s leading goal-scorers, she lives the dream – the mansion, the car, the freebie designer clothes. But Ella and Danny have a secret. Their marriage is not what is seems. Between them, it takes a lot of hard work to fool the press and the nation that they really are Love’s Young Dream, when deep down Danny’s desires lie elsewhere.

With Ella’s star in the ascendant, the world is at her feet – a TV show, a fashion column. But then she meets Johnny Cooper, the bad boy of British television. He’s ruthlessly charming and sexy, and he can see through Ella’s sham of a marriage in a heartbeat. Drawn into a risky, high-octane affair, Ella suddenly realises how much she has to lose and how quickly it can be taken from her…
