Hear from our authors about working with PFD.
We read every submission that we receive, and we aim to get back to authors within eight weeks. We receive a high volume of submissions, so unfortunately we’re not able to acknowledge receipt of each one, nor always able to offer detailed feedback.
We accept submissions via email as well as hard copies in the post.
You can submit directly to one of our agents, and you can find out about their interests and individual submission guidelines here. Please only submit to one agent. Please either email them or their assistant directly, or send a hard copy marked for their attention to Peters Fraser + Dunlop, Drury House, 34-43 Russell street, London WC2B 5HA.
Alternatively, if you’re not sure which agent might be the best fit for your work, to submit to the general submissions team to be allocated to an agent if your submission is successful, either email firstname.lastname@example.org or post a hard copy to the attention of the Books Division at Peters Fraser + Dunlop at the above address.
Please send us the first three chapters (or around fifty pages) of your novel, as well as a full synopsis and a covering letter, with a brief CV of your writing career, if appropriate. For non-fiction projects, please send a detailed proposal, alongside the covering letter and CV.
Unfortunately we do not currently accept unsolicited material from scriptwriters, playwrights or directors. Any unsolicited pitches, outlines, showreels or scripts will be returned unread if a stamped addressed envelope has been enclosed, otherwise they will be recycled. If you are referred to one of the agents here by a producer, development executive or course tutor then you should email the agent directly, attaching a CV and giving details of who has referred you. Please note that we are not able to offer representation to writers or directors based outside Europe.
Our Broadcast department accepts submissions from aspiring and established broadcasters. In particular we are looking for young, fresh, and inspiring presenters with well-developed ideas, and industry professionals at the top of their respective fields.
